How to Buy Liquidation Pallets Online for Resale

Buying liquidation inventory online works best when you compare the actual lot, calculate a conservative landed cost, and plan receiving before payment.

Start with the listing, not the estimated retail value

Use the current product page as the controlling source for the lot. Review every available photo, the stated condition, quantity, category, SKU, price, and inventory status. A retail-value estimate can provide context, but it does not establish your likely sales revenue or guarantee the condition of each unit.

Check whether the listing describes new overstock, shelf pulls, customer returns, mixed condition, or another inventory type. If a manifest is provided, compare the item count and product mix with the customers you already serve. For unmanifested or assorted pallets, allow more room for sorting and condition variance.

Calculate a realistic landed cost per sellable unit

Begin with the order total and divide it by a conservative estimate of sellable units, not the highest possible count. Add receiving labor, testing, cleaning, missing parts, replacement packaging, marketplace fees, storage, and local delivery when those costs apply.

Compare the result with prices you have actually achieved in your store, marketplace account, auction, or local sales channel. A pallet is a better fit when its product category, condition range, and selling season match your operation rather than a general headline discount.

Plan freight and receiving before checkout

Jax coordinates standard freight throughout the United States. Confirm that the destination can receive the shipment type shown in the listing. Commercial docks, liftgate requirements, residential access, appointment delivery, pallet dimensions, and truckload access can affect how a shipment is handled.

When the shipment arrives, inspect the exterior before signing, note visible damage or shortages on the delivery paperwork, photograph the load, and retain the bill of lading. Then count and sort the merchandise before creating resale listings.

Use confirmed appointments for warehouse inspection or pickup

Warehouse visits and pickups are available only with a confirmed appointment. Jax does not accept walk-ins. Eligible product pages show an appointment calendar with available weekday times. The required payment terms are displayed before checkout, and the visit is not confirmed until the required payment is received.

Buyers who do not need a warehouse visit can complete the online order and use nationwide freight. Review the shipping and delivery page and the 15-day return policy before ordering.
